KIA ORA
My name is Jennifer Jevons. I’m a Graphic Designer currently living in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, New Zealand. I grew up in New York, USA and moved to Aotearoa in 2019 to expand my career in Graphic Design. I strive to be an advocate for Tiaki and sustainability efforts. It has been an absolute honour to absorb the specular native flora, fauna, and native species of Aotearoa - an opportunity I do not take for granted!
I’m a friendly and (as my friends would say) quirky individual with a passion for helping others, graphic design, and the environment. You may be asking how I’ve been able to take these somewhat diverse interests and turn them into a force to be reckoned with.
Prior to moving to Aotearoa, I served as the Marketing Coordinator for Capital Roots, a fresh food access and urban greening nonprofit helping to elevate food security in New York’s Capital Region. It was here that I truly developed my love for graphic design and realized that you can use art and marketing to ultimately help thousands in the community.
For the past four years, I’ve been the Marketing, Membership, and Events Officer for a not-for-profit organisation called Concrete NZ. Daily, I create captivating content through Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign for all marketing and promotional materials. I also develop and design social media graphics, signage, flyers, newsletters, annual reports, and more.
Outside of work, I volunteer for Kaicycle, an urban farming and community-scale composting initiative based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara which helps serve the community by improving awareness around soil health, regenerative composting, growing practices, and food waste reduction.
When I’m away from my desk you can find me hiking or enjoying an evening sunset - practicing my photography skills of course. I’d love the opportunity to show my skills and help create a brighter, more inclusive world.
Let’s chat soon.
